Globalization is the new order of the world, but it is also posing challenges to our institutions and attitudes. If we’re all citizens of the global village, what happens to our old identities, based on nations, languages, customs or religions? What challenges do our conventional forms of identity face in the rapidly modernizing world?
The HCSA Lecture Committee has invited Dr Clemens Six, a contemporary historian, and Professor Sabine Otten, a social psychologist, to a moderated discussion and Q&A session on the issue of “Identity”. If you have pondered over issues such as religious identity, secularisation, migration, globalisation and social integration, join us for our lecture and discussion event followed by free drinks (a perfect opportunity for you to share your comments and concerns) in the Academy Building on February 26th, 2019, at 7 pm.
