Masters introduction week

This week, a new cohort of master students will begin their Honours programme. Congratulations to all the students who were accepted! To celebrate, the HCSA has organised two events especially catered towards Master students. They are specifically designed to help you use the interdisciplinary background you’ve created by joining the Honours College to create opportunities in the future. Please note that all of these events are free, but registration is required.

  • Tuesday, Oct 16th 20:00 – 21:30: Workshop with CareerUp as an Honours Student, you will stand out from others on the job market. You have acquired experience in fields other than your own discipline and worked on various skills modules that have prepared you for your professional future. But how can you use these extra’s and your interdisciplinary background to pitch yourself to companies? Join the workshop given by CareerUp, an expert on bringing employers, students and universities together. They have years of experience of preparing students for the job market and offering them career advice. Join the facebook event and register here!
  • Thursday, Oct 18th 20:00 – 21:30: Interdisciplinary PhD’s: tips & tricks – Are you interested in a PhD position in the future, but do you have no idea where to start? Join this event in collaboration with Young Academy Groningen to get tips and advice from current interdisciplinary PhD students and PhD supervisors about the application procedure, how to make yourself stand out and more! Of course, we also welcome any interested bachelor students and non-HCSA members to join these events!
