The main role of the Gala & Lustrum Committee is to organize the Honours Gala at the end of the year and the special Lustrum Week, celebrating HCSA’s 15th anniversary. The Gala, held after the Honours Festival, offers a chance to celebrate the year’s achievements, enjoy great company, and have an unforgettable fun evening. The Lustrum will feature a mix of educational and fun activities designed for all to enjoy all throughout the week! In addition to these events, the Gala & Lustrum Committee also organize some others throughout the year, like the Winter Gala.

If the Gala & Lustrum Committee were a dish, they would be a Döner kebab—the perfect treat after a great night like the Gala. It is a dish that naturally brings people together to connect, share, and enjoy, just like our events. They are here to ensure the celebrations leave you with lasting memories and a sense of connection, just like that satisfying Döner at the end of a fantastic night. Hello! My name is Inês Charruadas, and I am a second year psychology student. I am 19 years old and originally from a town called Matosinhos in Porto, Portugal. I am very happy to be this year’s president of the Gala & Lustrum committee! I am looking forward to everything this year will bring and what we will do together as a committee. In my free time, you can probably find me in dance class or hanging out with friends. I also really enjoy music, especially singing, and reading.

Hello, my name is Timo, and I am the secretary of the Gala & Lustrum committee. I am a Second-year Spatial planning and Design student from Sweden. When I am not studying I like to read, game, and (when I have the time) kayak. I have been kayaking for almost my whole life but I am still far from being any good. I hope to see you at our Lustrum! And if not, you can find me in the UB or on the water 🙂

Hi, my name is Bart, I am 20 years old and I am currently in my second year of Economics & Business Economics. I was born in a small village in the north of Groningen called Leens where I have lived my whole life before I moved to Groningen in July 2024. I am this year’s treasurer of the Gala & Lustrum Committee! Outside of university I mainly hang out with friends. Every Tuesday I go back to Leens to play Euphonium with the orchestra I am in. I also like to swim and go to the gym once or twice a week.
