Would you like to help organise events and evenings for your fellow HCSA members? Are you enthusiastic and do you like teamwork? If yes, we would love to hear from you! Doing a part-time board year at the HCSA is a great way to develop yourself and to gain fantastic skills that will be useful in various different spheres of life.

Being in the Board of Study Association of Honours College Social Association means that you represent over a 600 students from multiple courses. Serving on a board offers a wide range of opportunities, allowing you to grow both professionally and socially in numerous ways. If you think this might be something for you, do not hesitate to contact board@hcsf.nl or any of our current board members!


The Board changes anually in May and consists of the following positions:

  • The President leads the Board, represents the association to external parties and lead and prepare meetings with the board and committee members. The president is also responsible for all final decisions within the Assocciation and making everything runs smoothly.
  • The Secretary is responsible for the HCSA’s administration, which entails managing the communication on behalf of the association, cooperation with the Honours College Faculty, the membership database, incoming and outgoing mail and emails. They hold the responsibility of documenting meeting discussions and managing deadlines.
  • The Treasurer administrates the budget and oversees the revenue and spending of the association. This includes making the yearly budget, writing financial reports and working with committies to make sure they are on track with their spending.
  • The Commissioner of External Affairs  acquires sponsors for the association and keeping in contact with all external contacts, businesses and corporations. Ensuring the organisation’s interests are represented and promoted effectively.
  • The Commissioner of Internal Affairs is responsible for the overall internal functioning of the association. Dealing with matters relating to the committees. They need to stay active in the group chats, offer feedback from the board, as well as attending committee members when possible.
  • The Commissioner of Public Relations holds the role of shaping the organisation’s public image. By updating and managing the website and all social media platforms. They oversee the committees PR representatives to approve and form promotional content for the HCSA.
