Sustainable Fashion Lecture

Date/Time
Date(s) - 14/04/2021
19:00 - 20:00

Description

What is greenwashing? How can you make sure the clothes you buy are actually sustainable? And what does sustainable fashion actually mean and why is it important? During this one-hour lecture, all of these questions and more will be answered by Dr. Fabiola Polli. Dr. Polli completed a PhD in synthetic biology at the RUG and has a background in biochemistry and molecular biology. She is also the founder of Chicfashic, an online platform raising people’s awareness about the role of the global fashion industry and the importance of second-hand fashion in combating climate change. Join the lecture to ask her your questions about all things sustainable fashion!

The lecture will take place online, so sign up now here (registration is free!) If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at careerlecture@hcsf.nl or board@hcsf.nl!

Aren’t available on that day? Don’t worry! This lecture is the first of two events in collaboration with Dr. Polli. From next week, you can sign up for the sustainable fashion workshop, where Dr. Polli will teach you more about textiles and focus on the practical skills you need to fix your clothes yourself.
