Free Movement of Patients and Quality of Healthcare: Free Movement of Quality of Healthcare in the EU?
In this lecture, we will mainly tackle the topic of free movement law, and how it provides patients the right to receive healthcare services in another member state. We will primarily address the question of whether free movement of patients improves the quality of healthcare in the EU, or whether the market dynamics of the free movement provisions could lead to a race to the bottom. For this talk, we invited Professor Barend van Leeuwen, whose areas of expertise include European private law, the EU internal market, legal protection, and health law.
If you’re interested to learn more about the legal and business implications of cross-border healthcare in the EU, feel free to join us on 21st of March (Tuesday) at 19:00 at the Heymanszaal (Academy Building) for an engaging talk, followed by an interactive discussion. This event is open to the general public. Attendance is FREE – make sure to arrive on time. See you all there!.
